Obituary of James Philip Evans

James (Jim) Philip Evans, 55, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on September 30, 2018.

Jim was the son of Sally Evans and the late Donald Evans of Stow, Ohio.

He is survived by his beautiful bride, Stefanie Deddo-Evans; his children Joshua Evans (Katie Shuber), Jordan Evans (Cory Tibbits), and Alex Deddo (Christina Gonzales); and siblings David (Maureen Sweeney) and Julie Evans.

Jim enjoyed a successful career as an independent sales contractor specializing in medical technology, but he most delighted in being a devoted husband, father, brother, son, uncle and friend to many. Jim was an avid Cleveland sports and Buckeyes fan. He treasured football Sundays. He loved travel, concerts, cooking, and gardening. He was passionate about human rights, social justice and family. He is dearly missed.

The family will receive friends on Thursday October 4th from 5 to 8 p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, (Route 91) in Stow.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Homeless Charity of Akron, Ohio, NAMI Summit County, or to Ohio Organizing Collaborative / The Way Of Mind and Body (The W.O.M.B).
