James L. Munson

HUDSON - James L. Munson, 92, died July 9, 2025.

Born in Harvey, IL, he was raised in Calumet City, IL, served proudly in the U.S. Army and married Joan Dolak on January 31, 1959. Together they moved to Hudson in 1976, where he lived until the time of his death.

Preceded in death by his wife, Joan, in 2023; his parents, Arbey and Dorothy Shake Munson; niece, Mary Lou Byrne and nephew, Jim Oliver, he is survived by his sons, David (Laura) and Tom (Lisa); daughter, Christy (David) Cuppage; grandchildren, Amanda (Jeremy), Matthew (Carsyn) and their son, Myles, Bryan, Scottie (Lauren) and their son, Jack, Andy, Meghan (Collin), Ellen (Daniel), Michael and Nick, as well as nieces and nephews, Jack Oliver, Marge Kacak, Ed (Sue) Kusnir and Ginny Kusnir.

Funeral service will be held Monday, July 14, 2025, at 10 AM, at Christ Church Episcopal, 21 Aurora Street, Hudson, OH 44236.

Burial, with military honors, will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, 410 North Main Street, Hudson, OH 44236.
