Obituary of Janet L. Sandridge

Janet L. Sandridge, 74, ended her struggle with cancer December 10, 2018.

She was born in Galion, OH, October 14, 1944. From the time she was young, she dreamed of being a nurse, a dream she fulfilled ultimately earning her RN degree. Jan had been employed and served as a nurse in a variety of positions, the last her proudest achievement of being a hospice nurse with Gardens of the Western Reserve.

Jan, a self-professed crazy cat lady who rescued a multitude of felines through her life, also loved supporting her family. She attended every major event in their lives, taking particular pride in her role as doting grandmother. She also volunteered many hours with animal shelters and animal rescue services.

Preceded in death by her parents, Charles Naylor and Dorothy Richey Parks, she is survived by son, Chip (Becky) Roush; daughter, Kathy (Michael) Roush-Malzeke; and granddaughter, Hailey Malzeke.

Pastor Francis Miller will conduct service Saturday 2:30 PM at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow. Friends may call Saturday from 1PM to service time at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Happy Tails Thrift Shop.
