AKRON - Janice L. Carte-Cole, 87, passed away June 15, 2022.
Born in Widen, WV, she was a resident of Akron. Janice was a member of Crestview Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing cards, the lottery, BINGO, and listening to gospel music.
Preceded in death by her husband, Carl Carte; six sisters, and one brother, she is survived by her daughters, Sherry Lyons, Patty (Kenny) Glass, Debbie (Jimmy) Tykol, Janet (Don) Lindhe, Gennia Carte; son, Carl (Joanne) Carte; 28 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Chaplain Terry Arnold will conduct service 11 AM Monday at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Ivy Chapel, 2580 Romig Road, Akron, OH 44320. Friends may call 3 PM to 6 PM Sunday at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224.
