Obituary of Jean T. Montgomery

Jean T. Montgomery, 93, passed away January 11, 2019.



Born in Kennedy, AL, she was a longtime area resident, a member of the Akron Baptist Temple, and had retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber. Jean loved singing and Gospel quartet music, and sang in various quartets from her early 20's into her 80's.



Preceded in death by her husband, Homer in 2013, parents, Jonas and Erlene Waldrop, sister, Sandra Risner, and brother, Gerald Waldrop, she is survived by daughters, Toby (Tim) Zuschin of Kent, and Lynda (Joel) Reed of Green; grandchildren, David (Andrea) Zuschin, Michael (Ann Marie) Zuschin, Joel (Becky) Reed; great-grandchildren, Max, Lily, Sophia, Jeffrey, Corinne, and Allison, and many nieces and nephews.

Jean's family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to The Chapel-Green Campus and to Greenview Assisted Living for their special care and their attention to Jean.



Pastor Steve Bucy will conduct service Wednesday 11 AM at Redmon Funeral Home, where friends may call from 10 AM until service time. Burial Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
