STOW - Ms. Jeanette Atkinson McCaskill Brown, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at the home she shared with her son, Stevie and his wife, Gail, after a short illness.
Ms. Brown was born in Chesterfield County, SC on February 8, 1938. The daughter of the late Clayton Hallie and Florence Gulledge Atkinson. Ms. Brown was the loving mother of four wonderful children. She was a loving grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt to many. She loved singing, traveling, and spending time with her family and special friends at Sara Care.
Surviving Ms. Brown are her children: Stevie (Gail) McCaskill, Mitchel (Pam) McCaskill, and Julie (Martin) Bell. Grandchildren: Kristine (George) Bosley, Jason (Amanda) Patterson, Michael (Jamie) Carpenter, Stevie (Addie) McCaskill, Mitchell (Paula) McCaskill, Kelly (Tim) Maylor, Jack “Trey” McCaskill, Clayton (Alexis) McCaskill, Brittany (Robert) Thompson, Kayla (Dakota) McGee, and her baby girl, Kylie Bell. Great-grandchildren: Skye (Rene) Vaca, Jamie (Sean) Rich, James Bosley, Taylor Causey, Elizabeth McCaskill, Cali Touchton, Lawson McCaskill, Lawton McCaskill, Jayden Bosley, Tucker Thompson, and Brantley McGee. Her brother, Timothy Hallie Atkinson, and lots of special nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Eulis Lawton “Shoe Boots” McCaskill; her son, Mark Lawton McCaskill; her parents; brothers, LC Atkinson, Harold Atkinson, and Rudy Atkinson, and sisters, Millie Premo and Leona Hancock.
Her children would like to express our sincere gratitude to Traditions Hospice and their staff for being so great during this difficult time. Laurie, Kris, Melanie, and Beth ~ your compassion and patience were a blessing.
The family will receive guests at the residence of Mitchel McCaskill, 1105 Highland Drive, Mullins on Tuesday evening. There will be a visitation at Cox Collins Funeral Home, Mullins on Wednesday, May 25 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM, immediately followed by a graveside service at 1:30 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery, 495 Calvary Church Road, Bishopville, SC 29010, led by Reverend Nathaniel Brown, with a short visitation after the service at the church fellowship hall.
