MUNROE FALLS - Jerry P. Hurley, 86, died September 13, 2023.
Born in Akron, he was a lifetime area resident, having lived in Stow for many years prior to moving to Munroe Falls, and had retired as an engineer from Ford Motor Company in 1994.
A founding member of St. Eugene Catholic Church, he had served there as a eucharistic minister, singing in the choir, and repairing and improving the parish. Jerry found great enjoyment working in his garage, building things, and as a square dance caller at Happy Day School.
Preceded in death by his first wife, Jean M. Hurley, in 2006, he is survived by his wife, Jennie; children, Alice (Jim) Doyle, Monica Halvax, Stephanie (Gene) Wyatt, Jerry (Wendi) Hurley, Lisa (Mike) Dager, and Vickie (Tom) Mann; grandchildren, Jessica (Steve), Sean (Jamie), Alex (Kris), Allison (Justin), Adam, Maximilian, Joseph (Catherine), Rebecca (Ryan), Gabriel, Spencer, Katie (Ernest), Kelsey (Josh), Jonathan (Audrie), Madelyn, and Alex (Hannah); nine great-grandchildren, and sister, Barbara Shanholtz.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow 44224, for visitation, Tuesday, from 4 to 7 PM. Mass of the Christian Burial, Wednesday, 10:30 AM , at St. Eugene Catholic Church, 1821 Munroe Falls Avenue, Cuyahoga Falls 44221.
