MUNROE FALLS - Jimmie D. Johnson, Sr., 76, died August 23, 2023.

Born in Lynch, KY, on November 19, 1946, he was a resident of Munroe Falls since 1973. Jim was the owner/operator of Brothers Auto Collision, retiring in 2022. Jim enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson, hunting with his sons and grandsons, his dog, Harley, and spending time with his family and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Maudie Johnson; son, Jason Johnson; brothers, Donny Johnson and Bruce Johnson, and sister, Teresa, he is survived by his partner in life, Brenda Durst; wife, Barbara Johnson (Chuck Shanafelt); sons, Jimmy (Jill) Johnson, Jr.; Steve Johnson, and John Durst; grandchildren, Jessie (Amy) Johnson, Kate Johnson (AJ Morgan), Austin (Peyton) Underwood, Cheyenne Johnson, McKenna (Rusty) Shaffer, Abby Johnson, Hunter Johnson, and Jolee Johnson; great-grandchildren, Lilly Johnson, Luke Johnson, and Shaffer twins on the way; sisters, Virginia Werntz and Sandra Petersen; brothers, Larry Johnson and Mike Johnson.

Dr. Michael Thomas will conduct service 10 AM, Monday, at FallsCreek Community Church, 149 Northmoreland Avenue, Munroe Falls, 44262. Friends may call from 4 PM to 7 PM, Sunday, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, 44224.  Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 2580 Romig Road, Akron, 44320.
