Joan M. Munson

HUDSON - Joan M. Munson, 89, died March 2, 2023.

Born and raised in Whiting, IN, she moved to Hudson in 1976, was devoted to her faith and became a member of St. Mary Parish, and spent most of her career as a registered nurse at Bedford Community Hospital. Joan took great pride and found joy in her garden, she loved to read, and was active with Jazzercise and her coffee club. Of all the things Joan loved and enjoyed, none compared to her family and grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary (Durkac) Dolak; sisters, Viola (Joe) Oliver, Marcella (John) Kusnir, and Florence (Ray) Pacholski, and niece, Mary Lou Byrne. She is survived by her husband, James; sons, David (Laura) and Tom (Lisa); daughter, Christy (David) Cuppage; grandchildren, Amanda, Matthew, Bryan, Scottie (Lauren), Andy, Meghan (Collin), Ellen (Daniel), Michael, and Nick, nieces and nephews, Jack and Jim Oliver, Marge Kacak, Ed Kusnir, and Ginny Kusnir.

Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow 44224, for visitation, Tuesday, from 5 to 7 PM. Mass of the Christian Burial, Wednesday, 11 AM, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 340 N. Main Street, Hudson 44236. Burial St. Mary Cemetery.
