STOW - John Gilbert Drew, 94, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2025, with his family by his side.
Born in Indiana, Pennsylvania, he lived in Stow for 60 years and was a member of the Stow Presbyterian Church.
John served his country in the Korean War with the U.S. Army. He became a Tool & Die Maker for Ford Motor Company, where he retired after 33 years. He was blessed with many lifelong friendships.
A very talented wood carver, he was a member of the Tree City Woodcarvers in Kent, Ohio.
John was preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife, Connie, (They had celebrated 64 years of marriage.), and his siblings, Raymond, Kenneth, and Virginia.
John is survived by his sons, Bill (Ruth) Drew of Stow and Dan (Rose) Drew of Hiram; grandchildren, Emily (Jim) Kirkendall and Leslie (Mike) Ozmun, and great-grandchildren, Addison and Lucas Kirkendall and Logan Ozmun.
John’s family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to special caregiver, Shari Aikens, and to the wonderful staff and caregivers from the Gardens of the Western Reserve Hospice and Home Healthcare.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow 44224, for visitation Wednesday, April 30, 2025, from 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held at Stow Presbyterian Church, 4150 Fishcreek Road, Stow 44224, on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 11 AM. Burial will be at Silver Springs Cemetery.
