John G. Holley

STOW - John G. Holley, 95, died April 15, 2025.

Born August 29, 1929, in Windsor Ohio, he was a longtime resident of Stow and served for a number of years as a volunteer on the Stow Fire Department. He loved taking care of his yard with many flowers, and was a great neighbor to so many.

John served in the United States Army from 1951 to 1956, and had retired from Bender & Loudon Freight Line, LLC, in December 1989.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia “Jo” Holley; parents, Walter and Marie; sister, AnnaMarie (Shall); brothers, William and Charles, and grandson, Daniel Coleman.

John is survived by son, John (Tina); daughter, Mary Coleman, and son, James (Danette). He leaves his grandchildren, Travis, Holly, Rachael (Brad), Marc (Heidi), and Thomas, and great-grandchildren, Hannah, Graham, Becca, Luke, Daniel, Charles, and Olivia.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 21, 2025, from 10 AM until 10:45 AM, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow 44224.

Following the visitation, Father Alan Cowart will conduct a funeral service at 11 AM, at Silver Springs Cemetery, 5080 Stow Road, Stow 44224.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to: Empowering People, Inc., 780 Dunbar Road, Tallmadge, OH 44278.
