John T. Jacobs, Sr.

STOW - John T. Jacobs, Sr., 84, died May 24, 2022.

Born in Akron, he was a resident of Stow, and a U.S. Army veteran. John retired from Akron Public Schools where he was employed as a Guidance Counselor.

Preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Janice Jacobs, he is survived by their three children: Jenifer Maddox, Jill Finegan, and John Jacobs, Jr.  John Sr. is also survived by his brother, Michael Bralek; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

At John’s request, there will be a private burial for immediate family. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery, Akron.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project .
