John Tarka, Jr.

RAVENNA - John Tarka, Jr., 72, died April 17, 2020.

Born in Cleveland, he was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and had retired as an accountant. John was an avid model train enthusiast, constructing various layouts in the basement of his home. He also enjoyed camping, traveling in his RV, and evenings spent playing cards and games with his family.

Preceded in death by his parents, John and Sadie (Kaleal) Tarka, he is survived by his wife of 19 years, Becky (Monteith) Tarka; step-daughter Amanda Shank; step-son Dylan Shaw; granddaughter Sydney Holl; grandson Jaxon Shaw; sister Sandy (Tom) Moir; brother Dennis (Mary) Tarka and many nieces and nephews.

There will be no public services.
