John S. "Barney" Keenan

STOW- John S. "Barney" Keenan, 84, died January 8, 2017.

Born in Akron, he lived most of his life in Stow, was a US Navy veteran of the Korean War and had retired from Clark Oil.

Preceded in death by his wife Judith in 1999, his son John and 2 brothers and 4 sisters, he is survived by his daughter Kathleen Keenan of Stow; sons David (Holly) of Silver Lake, Richard (Judy) of Stow; daughter-in-law Cindy Keenan; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law JoAnn (Bill) Tracy of OR; brother-in-law Roger Apperson of CA; brother-in-law Chris (Norma) Dansak of CA and many nieces and nephews.

Pastor Brett Faris will conduct service Friday 7 PM at Redmon Funeral Home, where friends may call from 5 PM until service time. Private burial will be held at Maple Lawn Cemetery with military honors provided by the U.S. Navy. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Summa.
