STREETSBORO - John R. Kendall, 79, died June 29, 2019.
Born in Fairchance, PA, he was a Streetsboro resident for over 45 years, a U.S. Army Reserve veteran, and retired from General Motors in 2003 after thirty years of service. While John's greatest love was his family, he was also an avid sports fan, especially of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and he greatly enjoyed the years he spent coaching athletic teams.
Johnis survived by his wife of 59 years, Leona; son, John, Jr. (Mischell); daughters, Maria and Charmaine Kendall; grandchildren, Amber (Kyle) Syx, Danyaile (Dan) Mikoletic, John (Erica) Kendall, Vince Magestro, Talia (Brandon) Pavlich, Auliah Kendall, Russell Kendall, and Salvatore Romito; along with ten great grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Miller, Bertha (Edward) Hixson;brother, Jimmy (Cheryl) Hibbard; and sister-in-law, Donna Kendall.
John was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul and Harry.
All are welcome to join the family in remembering him at Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday morning at 10 AM with procession and entombment at Crown Hill in Twinsburg.
