Obituary of Joseph Peter Kreuz
STOW - Joseph Peter Kreuz, 87, passed away September 2, 2015.
Born in Swanton, Ohio, Joe was a resident of the area since 1979. Joe proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and retired from PPG Industries with 36 years of service. Joe was a 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus; an avid sportsman, especially baseball; and was a member of St. Eugene Catholic Church where he was active as an usher.
Joe is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joyce; daughters, Jennifer Gordon, Martha Spatafore; son, Andrew (partner Michael); grandchildren, Jessica, Megan, Robert, Joe, Kate; great-grandchildren, Abigail, Aiden; sister, Teresa Falter; and brother, Frank Kreuz.
The family would like to thank the nursing staff at National Church Residences for their loving care of Joe.
The family requests NO FLOWERS, memorials may be made to St. Eugene Catholic Church, 1821 Munroe Falls Ave., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, Alzheimer's Association, 70 W. Streetsboro St., Suite 201, Hudson, OH 44236 or National Church Residences Nursing Home, 300 E. Bath Rd., Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44223.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Eugene Catholic Church THURSDAY, OCTOBER 22, 2015 at 11 AM with Father Neil Crosby celebrant and where friends may call from 10 AM until service time.
