Joseph Roberts, 90, while surrounded by his family, went to be with our Lord and his beloved wife of 65 years, Dorothy, on January 21, 2014. Born in Akron, Ohio, February 2, 1923,
he was the son of Joseph Fredrick and Myrtle Edith Roberts.
Joe was an area resident all his life, graduating from Stow H. S. in 1941 and serving in the U.S. Army as a sergeant, through World War ll. A master machinist and mold designer, he managed General Mold and Machine for 20 years and retired from AkroMold Corporation in 1991. Joe and
Dorothy enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, working together on home projects and sharing their lives with family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy. Joe is survived by his sister Jean Louise Mills; sons John, Jeffrey and Timothy; grandchildren Christopher, Phillip and Taylor Roberts; nephew Donald Mills; great nephew Jeremy; niece Tina Pfenninger and great niece and nephew Jacqueline and Etienne Pfenninger of Thoiry, France.
Joe and Dorothy are deeply missed by family, friends and neighbors. Thank you to all the caregivers for their tender care and kindness.
