Joyce Barbara Liptak

Joyce Barbara Liptak (Alexander), 76 died March 12, 2015.

She was the youngest of ten children born to Rose and Anthony Alexander in Akron. She traveled extensively as a military wife (Air Force) for 22 years. She was an active member of Queen of Heaven Parish in Green for 30 years and Holy Family Parish in Stow for two years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Murawski, brothers, John, Frank, Victor, George, Cosmo, and Anthony. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Andy; children, Andy T (Susie), Karen Staudt (Brian), and Michael (Heather); grandchildren, Ashley, Holly, Emily Liptak, Johnathon, Sarah, Katherine Staudt, Michaela and Logan Liptak. She is also survived by her sisters, Rosemarie DiGiacomo and Rita Strongoli (Joe); and by sisters-in-law Angie, Donna, and Dorothy Alexander, Therese (Liptak) and Paul Pflaum, Maryellen (Liptak) and Cal Cole, and many nieces and nephews.

She loved her family and especially enjoyed their annual vacations at Lakeside, Ohio.

Special thanks to the Summa Hospice at Home staff who provided comfort and outstanding care. The Summa Pulmonary Rehab Program was also a source of strength for her for many years.

Friends are invited to the Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted Wednesday 10 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3179 Kent Road, Stow, Fr. Robert Pahler and Fr. Kevin Elbert con-celebrating.
