MUNROE FALLS - Judith (Judy) J. Feldman, 86, of Munroe Falls, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025, at Heather Knoll, just days before her 87th birthday.
Born and raised in the Portage Lakes area, Judy moved to Stow as a teenager and later attended Kent State University, where she enjoyed playing field hockey. After college, she began her career as an administrative assistant at Goodyear Aircraft, but in August of 1959, she married the love of her life, James D. Feldman, and chose to dedicate herself to raising a family in Munroe Falls. Together, Judy and Jim built a warm and loving home, raising six sons.
Judy’s life was centered around faith, family, and community. She and Jim were deeply involved in Church in the Falls, where Judy served in many roles over the years. One of her most cherished contributions was teaching the 5th grade Bible class for nearly four decades. Her creative and engaging lessons left a lasting impression on generations of students, many of whom fondly remember her enthusiasm and kindness.
She was a woman of many talents and interests. Judy loved her books and canning with her mother-in-law and extended family, attending her sons’ sporting events and concerts, and hosting joyful family gatherings. She had a passion for games - especially Scrabble - and her competitive spirit and laughter brought warmth to every room she entered.
Judy was preceded in death by her father, Mac McCartney, her mother, MaryAnn Poole, her stepfather, Howard R. Poole, and her beloved granddaughter, Haley Nicole Feldman.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 66 years, James D. Feldman; her six sons, Chris (Debbie), Craig (Karen), Curt (Leslie), Cyle, Chad (Lori), and Chet; nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
