Kenneth (Ken) Aupperle

AKRON - Kenneth Aupperle, age 77, of Akron, OH, passed away on October 1, 2024.

Ken was preceded in death by his wife, Louise (nee Bisson) Aupperle.  Ken was also preceded in death by his second wife, Connie (nee Marsh) Aupperle.

He is survived by his children, Kristopher (Shannon), Bryan (Suzanne), Sandi (Kasey), and Alex (Lucy); grandchildren, Trevor, Tyler, Nicholas, Caroline, and Morgan, and his siblings, Alan, Duane (Terrie) and Nancy (Steve).

Ken received his undergraduate degree from Western Michigan, his MBA from Kansas State, and Ph.D. from the University of Georgia.  He continued his path in education as a professor of Business Administration, both at Kent State University and the University of Akron, the latter of which Ken had the aid of his long-time graduate assistants, Ronnie Jia and Prince Garg, who grew to be family.

Ken enjoyed an active life and could often be found weightlifting, running, and hiking. He loved nature, "Lord of the Rings", and college football.  An avid reader and ever the movie buff - Ken has made his way over the Lost Horizon to his Shangri-La.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 4 to 7 PM at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow 44224, where funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, October 11, 2024. Cremation will follow.
