STOW- Kevin J. Lavery, 59, died April 21, 2012.
Born in Akron, he was a lifetime area resident and had attended St. Vincent's. Kevin was a US Army Vietnam veteran, serving in Germany. A sharpshooter, he was also an Honor Guard member and during his service time, guarded Rudolf Hess.
He is survived by his daughter Tara; son Shane; special "son" Zach; grandchildren Hailey and Erin; special "granddaughter" Charity; sisters Patty Huwig, Theresa Naska and Wanda Burns; brothers Michael, Vincent and Thomas; ex-wife Grace; special friends Sharon and Chuck, and many other relatives.
Prayer service will be held Friday 7 PM at Redmon Funeral Home, where friends may call Friday from 4 PM until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family in care of Redmon Funeral Home.
