CLEVELAND - With heavy hearts and abiding faith, we share that Kristen Elizabeth Hoffman, 32, of Cleveland, Ohio, was called home on February 10, 2026, surrounded by her family. We remember Kristen’s years filled with music, laughter, and unmatched compassion for everyone - stranger or friend. We trust God’s arms to hold her now, the way she held each of us.

Kristen was clever, spirited, and endlessly talented, devoting her life to love, humor, and service; however, her passion was musical theater from the time she was five years old. From Akron to Cleveland, Medina to Streetsboro, she found community theaters and regional and professional theaters where she could feed that passion. After high school, while her intellect could have taken on any career endeavor, she pursued her passion in musical theater at Indiana University Bloomington and finished her BFA degree at Kent State. After three years in New York City, she returned to Cleveland and turned her talents to stand-up comedy. She will be remembered fondly from Cleveland area open-mic nights, comedy shows, and as a comedian/tour guide on the Funny Bus.

A 2011 Solon High School graduate, Kristen loved being a part of every choir she could join. She especially loved performing with Solon’s Show Choir Music in Motion and her barbershop quartets - The Treble Makers and Kaleidoscope. She was also a talented athlete, lettering in diving her freshman year at Solon, and as a Zone level swimmer on the Riverfront YMCA Tigersharks swim team in Cuyahoga Falls.

Kristen was a member of First Christian Church of Stow and treasured her time with the children’s choir, the teen girls choir, Grace Notes, and at Camp Christian each summer. Kristen served as Girl Co-leader her last year as a high school camper. After high school, Camp Christian continued to be a significant part of her life when she joined the staff as assistant superintendent and supported the younger campers.

We will always remember Kristen’s most sacred places: the local theaters, small establishments with stages, home with her cat, Wednesday, who she called her “tiny gremlin,” and Camp Christian.

Our cherished daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend leaves behind her parents, Michael and Karen; her sisters, Rebecca and Allison (Christopher Harris); her grandparents, Harold (Ho) and Carolyn (Sue) Hoffman and Richard and Janet Lynch; along with aunts, uncles, cousins, and many loved and loving friends.

Kristen’s life will be celebrated Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 11 AM, at First Christian Church of Stow, 3493 Darrow Road, Stow 44224. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 AM, until the start of the service. A luncheon will immediately follow in the Fellowship Hall.

Please consider bringing a photograph and/or a favorite memory of Kristen to place on remembrance posters in Fellowship Hall. Digital pictures can also be uploaded with the + button on the Google form linked here: Photos

The service will be streamed on Facebook Live on the church’s FB page at https://www.facebook.com/FCCStow/

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Camp Christian at https://www.ccinoh.com/donation.aspx in Kristen’s name. Choose Designation of “Camp Christian” and Tribute Gift in honor of Kristen Hoffman.
