Obituary of Larry J. Laing
HUDSON - Larry J. Laing, 63. My dear husband, Larry, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on February 17, 2017.
Larry was a devoted husband and step-father and loved his family dearly. He was always concerned with the needs of others and worked hard to make sure his family was taken care of. Larry was born in Akron, was a 1972 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School, and retired from Automated Packaging after 43 years of service. Larry loved being active and enjoyed playing golf, riding his bicycle and ATV, hunting, antiquing, and gardening. He was a fan of the Cleveland Cavs, Indians, and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Larry attended Stow Alliance Fellowship Church. He was a member of the Pennsylvania and Ohio Rod and Gun Club for 23 years and was a Big Brother volunteer through the Akron Big Brothers Big Sisters program.
Preceded in death by his parents John and Lillian Laing, and in-laws Carl and Adella Kapusinski, he is survived by his wife Lori; step-son Ryan Fuller; brothers Kenneth (Marcia), Ronald (Cynthia), both of Cuyahoga Falls; brothers-in-law Mark (Nancy) Kapusinski of Fulton, Illinois, Wes (Patti) Kapusinski of Cuyahoga Falls; nieces and nephews Kathleen (Michael) Heidbreder, Pamela Laing, James (Nicole) Laing, Douglas (Rita) Kapusinski, Kristin (Todd) Burton, Gregory (Kristin) Kapusinski, Andrea (Brandon) Cooper, Brad Sells, Trisha (Jeff) Kramer, and many great nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call Monday, February 20th from 4 to 8 PM at Redmon Funeral Home. The service to celebrate Larry's life will be Tuesday, February 21st, at 10 AM at Stow Alliance Fellowship Church, 4460 Stow Road, Stow, 44224, Pastor John Kitchen officiating.
