Obituary of Lewis O. Moss

Lewis Odell Moss, 92 years old, went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday, August 3, 2017, surrounded by his family.

Lewis was born September 12, 1924, in Cookeville, Tennessee, to the late Oscar and Emma Moss. He married and settled down in Akron, Ohio, where he raised his family. He worked 33 years as a district manager and retired from the Akron Beacon Journal. He was an avid golfer. He attended the First Christian Church of Stow. Lewis loved his family, friends, and community through his hospitality and generosity.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Frank Moss. Lewis is survived by Sylvia, his wife of 70 years; his four children, Pat Moss, Vicki Stevens, Diane DiBartolomeo, and Lewis Moss, Jr.; eight grandchildren: Patrick, Toni, Jason, Emily, Domenic, Michael, Vincent, and Krista; and five great-grandchildren: Kylie, Quinn, Audrey, Charlie, and Louie.

Calling hours will be 6-8 PM, Monday, August 7th, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, Ohio, 44224. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice in honor of Lewis Moss.
