Linda Marie Freborg

STOW - Linda Marie Freborg, 85, passed away January 13, 2024.

Born in Königsberg, East Prussia, she emigrated to Chicago with her parents and brother in 1954. Linda was a bookkeeper with the Bank of Winnetka when she met and married her husband, Thomas. She was a resident of Stow since 2007, and was a member of Rejoice Lutheran Church in Hudson. She was an avid quilter, loved planting and tending her flower garden, and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, Karl and Berta (Konnopka) Stoermer, her sister, Gisela, and brother, William Stoermer, she is survived by her husband of 58 years, Thomas C. Freborg; daughter, Sue Bassam; sons, Andrew (Kimberly), Mike, and Tom Freborg; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Vicar Brian Suntken will conduct 11 AM, Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow 44224. Friends may call 5 to 7 PM, Tuesday, at the funeral home. Interment Chestnut Hill Memorial Park in Cuyahoga Falls.
