Obituary of Lorna Ellen Jenkins

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Lorna "Ellen" Jenkins, 97, died October 11, 2017.

Born in Belmont County, Ohio, she was a Cuyahoga Falls resident since 1954 and was employed as a school secretary for the Cuyahoga Falls School District and the Tallmadge School District.

Preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, William J. Jenkins and her son, Charles M. Young and brother, Richard Allen Showalter, she is survived by her children, Stephen (Jane) Young, Rosemary (George) Zampelli and Nan Moore; and daughter-in-law, Sue Young; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, sister Myra Brown and brother Wayne Showalter.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at The Gables of Hudson who took such good care of her these last few years.

Private interment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery next to her beloved husband, Bill.

The family requests memorials may be made in her name to the Juvenile Diabetes Association.
