STOW - Lorrie Jean Scheftic, 71, passed away October 17, 2025.
Born in New Kensington, PA, she was a resident of Stow since 2006. Lorrie had been employed with Prudential Financial as an Insurance agent, was an EMT with Lower Kiski Ambulance and taught at various Christian schools. She also volunteered as an AWANA youth group leader for fifteen years. She was a member of Grace Bible Church. Lorrie enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, was an avid reader and was writing a book focused on the Presidents’ wives. (Flowers)
Preceded in death by her stepfather, Curtis Fike, (Little River, SC), and her father, Bill Fishel, (Warren, OH). Lorrie is survived by her husband of 50 years, John Scheftic; mother, Mildred Fike (Haas); daughters, Cynthia (Nathan) Meyer, Jennifer (Leo) Maxfield and Audrey Scheftic; son, David (Amie) Scheftic; sister, Janie Imm; brothers, Sam Fishel, Russ Fishel and Tim Fike; fifteen grandchildren, as well as four great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service for Lorrie will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Grace Bible Church, 2474 Graham Road, Stow 44224. Calling hours will be held from 2 - 2:30 PM, with service immediately following.
