Louis J. Frost

HUDSON - Louis J. Frost, 71, died October 29, 2025.

Born in Waterloo, IA, he was a resident of Stow for most of his life. Louis dedicated much of his professional career to Kent State University, where he worked in the computer ops division for more than 30 years, retiring in 2008.

Louis enjoyed traveling with his family. Whether he was exploring new places or returning to favorite spots, he found great joy in spending that time with those closest to him. He was also an admirer of classic cars.

Louis was preceded in death by his parents, Louis M. Frost and Mary (McKeever) Frost; brother, Matthew Frost, and sister, Mary Kay Gainer. He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Jo Ellen (Badia) Frost; sons, Matthew (Margaret) Frost, Patrick Frost, and Daniel Frost; grandchildren, Maxwell Frost and Elliott Frost, and sister, Betty Rousselo.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held 10 AM, Thursday, November 6, 2025, at St. Bernard Parish, 44 University Avenue, Akron, OH 44308. Friends may call 4 to 7 PM, Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow 44224. Private interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron.
