Lucille Hope Bueno

Lucille Hope (Chimera) Bueno passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Hospice Care Center after a valiant 6 1/2 year battle with stage 4 ovarian cancer.

She was born in Akron, graduated from St. Vincent High School and St. Thomas School of Nursing. She worked as a pediatric nurse at St. Thomas Hospital in Akron, Kapiolani Hospital in Honolulu, Kaiser Permanente, and retired from Akron Children's Hospital. Lucy was a member of Saint Eugene Parish where she was part of the funeral committee.

She was preceded in death by parents Ross and Jennie Chimera; brother and sister-in-law Carmen and Kathy Chimera. She is survived by children Jennifer Bueno, Tony (Jamie) Bueno, Kim Cornellier and grandchildren Derrick, Emma and Jordan; brothers Mike Chimera (Faye) and Jim Chimera (Bea).

Lucy's body was donated to Northeast Ohio Medical University. Friends are invited to the Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow for visitation Friday from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. A memorial service will be held Saturday 11am at Saint Eugene Parish, 1821 Munroe Falls Ave, Cuyahoga Falls. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to any charity that feeds the hungry.
