Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Lucy E. Willemsen

HUDSON - Lucy E. Willemsen, 96, died June 26, 2024.

Born in Ravenna, Ohio, on June 11, 1928, she had been employed as a registered nurse, and had worked many years at Chrysler. A longtime resident of Stow, she had spent her final years at Hudson Grande, where she made many friends and enjoyed the last years of her life.  Lucy was also a member of Holy Family Parish, where she served as a eucharistic minister.

Lucy was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Willemsen; parents, John and Leonarda (Forte) Ceglia, and her brothers, John Chell (Ruth), Joe Ceglia (Louise), and Jerry Ceglia. She is survived by her 100-year-old brother, Pat (Margaret) Ceglia, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and several friends who were near to her, including Nancy and David Gallo, Karen Franks, and Andrea Schnee.

Mass of the Christian Burial, celebrated by Fr. Michael P. McCandless, will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at 11 AM, at Holy Family Parish, 3179 Kent Road, Stow 44224, where friends may call from 10 AM until time of the Mass.  Entombment to follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Ravenna.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Holy Family Parish .
