STOW - Margaret A. Martin, 91, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2013. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Ann and Jim Higgins.
She graduated from John Hay High school and married the love of her life, Leslie C. Martin, in 1941. Margaret was a business woman. She worked for the telephone company, managed the Delmar Inn with her husband, and operated the Midtown Motor Inn in Akron for many years.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Leslie (Bud) Martin and brother John (LaMona) Higgins. She is survived by her children L. James (Terry) Martin and Karen (Steve) Duffy; her grandchildren Lesley (Dave) Flora, Jamie Martin, Megan (Mike) Fasick, Erin Duffy and Kristen Duffy; and great grandchildren Violet Flora, Elizabeth Flora, Steve Fasick and Sawyer Fasick.
The family will receive friends 7 to 9 PM Tuesday evening at the Redmon Funeral Home. Mass of the Christian Burial will be Wednesday 10 AM at St. Eugene Catholic Church in Cuyahoga Falls. Interment Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
