Margaret Jean, nee Scott, Yeager, 88, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026. She was born in Youngstown, OH, November 16, 1937, to Owen O. and Oneta Tressler Scott. She was raised in Boardman.

Peg graduated from the College of Wooster, with a degree in economics. Friendships developed there lasted a lifetime.

In 1959 she married David L. Yeager, “because there was no one else like Dave.” Married for 60 years, they lived in Cuyahoga Falls, Boardman, and Silver Lake Village. She then took apartments at Vitalia-Stow and at Danbury-Hudson.

Peg’s Christian faith was paramount to her. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls for over 50 years. There she was a part of the weekly prayer group, a Stephen Minister, and a member of United Methodist Women. Over the years, she participated in Women’s Bible Study Fellowship and several ad hoc Bible study and prayer groups.

Joyfully and regularly, Peg donated numerous gallons of blood and apheresis to the American Red Cross.

Peg was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David L. Yeager; her son, David S. Yeager; and her sister, Janet Scott Boltz.

She is survived by her daughters, Karen (Richard) Yeager-Stiver and Ellen Yeager; daughter-in-law, Lisa Yeager; granddaughter, Alissa Yeager (Marc Nasca) ; great-grandchildren, Marley and Miles Nasca; and sisters-in-law, Mary Sue Yeager and Joyce (Richard) Adair.
