Obituary of Mary Ann Jones (nee Potts)
STOW- Mary Ann Jones (nee Potts), 80, died August 3, 2015.
She was born and raised in Barberton with her brother Lowell Potts and sister, Eleanora (Potts) Battles.
Mary Ann was a devoted, loving and caring mother of 8 children; Kim (Glenn) Helms, Tim (Debbie) Jones, Becky Jones, Elizabeth Jones, Brian Jones, Tom (Colleen) Jones, Susan (Joe) Foreman, Jennifer (Robb) Moretti. She was also a wonderful grandmother and great grandmother to many, as well as a sister and friend.
When living in Stow, she was an active member of Holy Family Parish for about 25 years. She was involved in working in the school office, mother monitoring, PTA, Girl and Boy Scouts. Mary Ann also loved her Bridge Club. After about 20 years in Florida, Mary Ann returned home, re-connecting with Holy Family Parish. Her Catholic faith was a strong part of her life.
Mary Ann was a hard worker at any job or task she was given. When she lived at Stow Gardens she had worked on a volunteer project with her friends called "Diapers for Haiti Children". The ladies would get together and hand sew diapers for the children in Haiti. She was proud of what they were doing.
Mary Ann had an open door policy and loved socializing with family and friends. She will truly be missed by many people!
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Friday 4 to 8 PM. Mass of the Christian Burial Saturday 11:30 AM at Holy Family Parish, 3179 Kent Road, Stow 44224, Fr. Paul Rosing celebrant. PLEASE MEET AND FORM PROCESSION AT THE CHURCH. Burial Oakwood Cemetery.
