Mary H Sheppard

Cuyahoga Falls – Mary Sheppard, 91, died June 13, 2026.

Born in Dublin, VA on April 25, 1935, she was a resident of Summit county most of her adult life. Mary had been employed with Lucern’s as a boat loader, retiring in 1995. She was a member of United Presbyterian Church and the Cuyahoga Fall Moose Lodge. Mary enjoyed sewing, gardening, crafting, clogging and especially hosting her family.

Preceded in death by her husband Eugene Sheppard, parents Vernon and Helen Montgomery, step-father Pat McCoy, children Shar Schroeder, Betty Blakeney, Jim Bonham, brother Eugene “Speedy” Montgomery and her best furry friend, Katie. She is survived by her daughter JoAnne (Mark) Wise, sisters Rachel Johnson, Patsy (John) Fennell and Charlotte Riley; brothers Kenny and Larry (Carol) Montgomery and loving companion of 19 years, Jim Rojas.

She will be missed by her 4 granddaughters Stephanie Flavel, Rebecca O’Flanagan, Celeste Aldridge and Suzi Bonham, her 4 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Chaplain Lucas Merritt will conduct service Tuesday, June 23 at 10:00 at Rose Hill Funeral Home and Burial Park at 3653 West Market St, Akron. Friends may call Monday, June 22 from 5:00-7:00 at Redmon Funeral Home.
