MaryAnn Bricker

CUYAHOGA FALLS –On Thursday, July 18th, 2026, MaryAnn Bricker, 91, was joyously united with her God & Savior in the mansion He had prepared for her.

MaryAnn was born in Pittsburgh, PA. Throughout the years, she and her husband, James, routinely returned to PA to visit family and dear friends. During the period 1969/1970, she accompanied James to Cuyahoga Falls, OH, which they called home for the balance of their lives. MaryAnn quickly assimilated to the area and developed lifelong relationships with a multitude of women and men, that for several, continue today. MaryAnn & James were the parents of two boys. Fulfilling a commitment she made as a young woman, MaryAnn made raising her children a priority. On several occasions, she did enter the workforce in the banking & finance industries. However, the immense allure of her children was so compelling, she returned to being a homemaker, to influence and guide her boys. Although most moms are special, MaryAnn had a gift. God created her with “it”. If you were blessed to have crossed paths with MaryAnn, she left an indelible mark on your life. MaryAnn was deeply and dearly loved by family, friends, and acquaintances. There is no love more powerful and deep than her love; MaryAnn exhibited a selflessness unlike any other— her needs were always secondary; her compassion and caring were unequaled; MaryAnn’s loyalty, devotion, and commitment to her Savior were beyond reproach. Maryann was a member of West Hill Baptist Church in Akron.

Preceded in death by her husband, James, and parents Nick and Margaret Pozum, she is survived by her sons, Jim Bricker, David (Annegreth) Bricker; siblings, Dolly Sowden, Carole Gardner, Paulette (Larry) Pohovich, Andrea Pohlot, Terry (Marsha) Pozum; and grandchildren, Kathryn, Andre, and Christopher.

A private service will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
