Maura L. "Mary" Campbell (nee Crano)

After 76 years of a fulfilling, beautiful life, Maura Campbell passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, April 29, 2015.

Maura was born in Akron, Ohio and resided most of her life in Stow, Ohio. She was a 1956 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School. Following high school, Maura graduated from Hammel Business College as well as Akron Institute. Maura dedicated 30 years to Akron Children's Hospital and Akron Neonatology.



Maura is survived by her three children: her son Mark Campbell; daughters Michele (Michael) Cramer, Carla (Gary) Hall; her sisters Ruth Riter, Jean Jones, and Patricia Rounds; five grandchildren, Ryan, Chelsea, Jacob (Amina; Dalia and Aden), Nick, and Alex. She is preceded in death by her parents Tony and Margaret Crano. After nine years apart, Maura was met by her loving husband of 48 years, Carl L. Campbell, Jr., who was awaiting by their boat to begin their new journey together.



In spite of her passing, Maura will always be remembered for living a life filled with no gray hair. Maura enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren. She was notorious for her frequent Macy's shopping trips and lunch dates at Swenson's. No Sunday will be complete without her homemade sauce and meatballs. You will forever live on in our traditions and memories. Safe sailing.

Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Sunday 4 to 8 PM. Pastor Larry Shaw will conduct service Monday 10 AM in Memorial Chapel at The Chapel, 135 Fir Hill, Akron 44304.
