Merle R. Rehlender, 87, died March 31, 2011. Born in Cleveland, she was a friend to everyone she met.
Preceded in death by husband Melvin, she is survived by daughters Myrna (Earl) Apel-Brueggeman, Marian (Chester) Arthur, son Jim (Sue) Rehlender, 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren and her dog Penny.
Friends are invited to the Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Sunday from 1 to 3 PM, where service will be conducted Sunday 3 PM. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service, 3358 Ridgewood Road, Akron, OH 44333. Mrs. Rehlender's video tribute may be seen here.
