Michael (Mike) Earl Robinson

May 16, 1969 — July 10, 2025

Cuyahoga Falls

God is good. Psalm 86:15 - “But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger and abundant in mercy and truth.”

My beloved husband of 34 years, Mike Robinson, fought a courageous battle with cancer for eleven months. He entered the presence of Jesus on July 10, 2025. We are so grateful that he is no longer suffering here on earth and is in the presence of His Lord and Savior. We can imagine him playing guitar and singing praises to the One who died for him so that he might truly live for all eternity.

Mike was blessed to be born to wonderful parents, Gary and Judy Robinson (deceased), in Akron, Ohio, on May 16, 1969. He was the third born child and is survived by his siblings, Gary (Jennifer) Robinson, Deb Wales and Pamela Robinson.

Mike graduated from The University of Akron in 1990 with a degree in Graphic Arts. He worked only three jobs his entire career - Home Center, JCPenney and Automated Packaging Services, (now Sealed Air). Once Mike made a commitment to something, he worked to do all for the glory of God. He was a much loved and respected manager in the Art Department for 30+ years at the time of his home going.

In February of 1991, I (Anne) was blessed beyond words to marry my soulmate. For 34 years, he was a true example of kindness, patience, joy and forgiveness. He loved me unconditionally, and oh, so faithfully every single day.

Four years after Mike’s mom, Judy, went home to be with Jesus, his dad married Marcie, who is a wonderful addition to our lives. We gained her sons as brothers, Chad Bosak and Troy Bosak (Sadie Goetz).

After four years of growing together in our marriage and faith, we were blessed with our daughter, Hannah. Then two years later, we added our second blessing with our son, Josiah. Mike loved being a dad. He was loving, caring, humorous and always present. He never missed any of the kids’ activities. We added two more “children” when Hannah married Andrew in 2019, and Josiah married Madison in 2020. Then in 2022, he gained the title of “Papa” or most recently, “Poppy”, when his first granddaughter, Camber, was born. In 2024, his second granddaughter, Alainey, was added. They brought immense joy to him, especially during his illness.

Mike taught himself to play the guitar and enjoyed many years of using this gift, along with a beautiful singing voice, to play on praise and worship teams at every church he attended, at weddings, at funerals and at other celebrations. His most favorite times singing were when he sang with Hannah and Josiah.

Mike loved playing sports and was very athletic. Many of his most precious friendships were made and strengthened while playing basketball, softball and golfing.

Anyone who has been blessed to know him has countless memories of joy he brought with him everywhere he went. His humor and laughter was contagious, and his love for the people in his life was evident through the way he never hesitated to help, no matter the request. He was a man who showed up in every time of need. He had an unparalleled work ethic and commitment to supporting people. He is a testament to what it truly means to be a loving husband, son, father, brother and friend to all.

In addition to the above, Mike is survived by his father and mother-in-law, Bill and Bonnie Obendorf; brother-in-law, Carl and his wife, Lisa Obendorf; brother-in-law, Paul Obendorf; sister-in-law, Cathy and her husband, Mark Cagwin. Also, his nieces and nephews, Chris and Lindsey Azzarello, Alex Obendorf, Andrew and Tiffany Magill, Brandon and Rachael Cagwin, JT and Halle Ingalls, Cami Obendorf, Jane Obendorf, Cameron and Natasha Nester, Nick Robinson (Starr Simms), and Sam Wales, as well as numerous cousins, uncles, aunts, and countless friends.

We could never fully express how much we appreciated all the love and support from family, neighbors and friends during this cancer journey. We love you all!

Feel free to wear colors that remind you of Mike! And guys - golf shirts were his favorite!
