Obituary

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Michael Zaubi, 73, entered heaven in the presence of Jesus his savior on October 16, 2026, due to complications from Parkinson’s Disease. He fought a good fight and has entered his peace. His faith and his family were the major focus in his life.

Mike was a star football player in high school and earned the nickname “Phantom” since it was hard to catch him due to his speed. He was inducted individually into the Strongsville High School Hall of Fame in the 1990’s and then again with the entire 1970/71 football team in October 2026 since his was the only team in Strongsville’s history to go undefeated for both his junior and senior years. Mike continued athletic pursuits in his adult years in flag football, softball, racquetball, and basketball.

He is survived by his former spouse/caregiver Patti Zaubi, his sons Alex (Emily) Zaubi and Sam Zaubi, and grandsons Nathan, Adam and Peter Zaubi. Also surviving are siblings Frank (Kathy) Zaubi, Fran Vanecko, Bill (Susan) Zaubi, Matt (Lauren) Zaubi, Joe (Laura) Zaubi, and Steve (Celeste) Zaubi.

Mike was a friend to many and kind and encouraging to all. His family would like to express deep appreciation for the entire staff at The Pavilion at Stow whom he loved and was loved by them. Also to Crossroads Hospice who displayed wonderful care and compassion during his last week.
