Pastor Kenneth L. Tharp

Kenneth L. Tharp, 83, died June 24, 2015. Born in Thurmont, MD, he founded the Apostolic Gospel Church of Stow in 1954 and pastored there for 50 years.

Preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Mary Tharp and brother Gayle, he is survived by his wife of 58 years, Wilma, daughter Vicki (Dennis) Petty, grandchildren, Nathaniel and Micaela, sisters, Dorothy Martin and Wanda Ludwig, brother Ronald Tharp.

The family would like to thank Kenneth's sister-in-law Doris Harlin and her family Tonya, Sidney, Terri and Tamara for all of their love and support over the past number of weeks.

Pastors Nelson Carter, Dan Deaton, and Marvin Thomas will conduct service Sunday 6 PM at Calvary Apostolic Church, 2693 Nesbitt Avenue, Akron 44319 and where friends may call Sunday from 4 PM until service time. Entombment Hillside Memorial Park.
