STOW- Patricia A. Gatto (nee Torregrossa), 83, died peacefully in the comfort of her home on December 29, 2012.

She was born in Cleveland on Sept. 12, 1929. She was a hairdresser (in her early years) and also worked at Cipriano's Restaurant as a hostess. She volunteered at many school activities at St. Jude and was mother moderator at Lumen Cordium High School. Pat volunteered for 35 years at the NEC World Series of Golf. She was also a Eucharistic minister and donated her time on the funeral committee at Holy Family Church. Pat was a very compassionate and selfless mother and grandmother that devoted her entire life for her family. On Dec. 25, 2012, Pat's children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and former husband Anthony Gatto, surrounded her with love and laughter, fulfilling her final wishes.

Preceded in death by her parents Patrick and Virginia (Rodgers) Torregrossa, she is survived by her daughters Cynthia Spanos, Susan (Rick) Palshook, Vivian (Brian) Genter; sons Anthony and Paul (Debbie) Gatto; 12 grandchildren, David (Toni) Lupardus, Angela Lupardus, Anthony (Lisa), Nina, Nick, Melissa, Robert and Matthew Gatto, John Palshook, Dominic (Jocelyn) Palshook, Jamie (Charlie) Keesee, and Kevin Genter; 9 great-grandchildren; sister Marie (Torregrossa) Borowski and her beloved dog Patsy Josephine.

Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Wednesday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 9 pm. Mass of the Christian Burial Thursday 10:30 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church. PLEASE MEET AND FORM PROCESSION AT THE CHURCH. Entombment Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Summa, 525 E. Market Street, Akron 44398.
