Patricia M. Box

TALLMADGE- Patricia May Box (Sampson, Barr), 75, died December 10, 2015.

Born in Akron, she was a lifetime area resident and active member of Stow Community Church and The Darrow Street Grange. She was CEO/President of the Edward F. Barr Corporation and was involved with the American Heart Association, Children's Hospital in the neonatal care unit and with the Night at the Races events. She was also a member and supporter of many other organizations and charities. She loved spending time with her friends at the Bradenton, FL condo, with her favorite place on Earth being at the beach on a sunny day. She loved flower gardening and being with her grandchildren. She was truly a wonderful and kind wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Preceded in death by parents, Merle and Marcella Horn, she is survived by her husband of 16 years, Don Box; children, Dale (Gilda) Sampson, Lisa (Heath) Henkaline, Neil (Tonia) Sampson, Lisa (Eric) Kovach, Michael P. Barr, Terrence P. Barr; step-children, Carol (Charles) Wilkinson, Susan Fuerst and Christine (Brian) Grizer; 22 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Kathie L. Horn and Paula M. (Robert) VonSpiegel.

Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Monday 4 to 8 PM. Pastor Jim Case will conduct funeral service Tuesday 11 AM at Stow Community Church, 1567 Pilgrim Drive, Stow 44224, and where friends may call from 10 AM until service time. Entombment Northlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church.
