WADSWORTH - Raymond G. Bard, 81, went to Heaven Sunday March 5, 2023.
He was born June 30, 1941, in Akron, Ohio. He was raised in Stow, Ohio and remained there for 79 years. They moved to Wadsworth, Ohio in 2021, to be closer to family. Ray worked as a supervisor at Morgan Adhesives (MACTAC) for 38 years and retired in 2000. He also served in the U.S. Army and was a police officer in Stow for six years. Ray was an avid golfer, sports fanatic, cherished his many pets throughout the years, and enjoyed the outdoors. He also enjoyed fishing, bowling, boating, water skiing, camping, and sitting in the “Outback” with a bonfire at his home in Wadsworth telling stories and having fun with his family.
He was proceeded in death by his two fine parents, Raymond and Helen Bard, and sister, Judy.
Ray is survived by his loving wife, Sandy, of 59 years; son, Dave (Debbie); granddaughters, Ella, Amelia, Olivia, and Ava; son, Ray (Shannon); grandchildren, Ezra, Jeremy, and Heaston.
He was a man of faith from the very beginning and continued his faith in the Lord his entire life. He also cherished his many longtime friendships and held them dear to his heart.
Please join us Friday March 17, 2023, 4 PM - 5 PM, for a Celebration of Life for family and friends at the First Christian Church of Stow, 3493 Darrow Road, Stow, 44224, where Ray and Sandy were members since childhood. Everyone is invited to stay for fellowship and a reception immediately following, at the church.
