Obituary of Richard L. Bent
STOW - Richard L. Bent, 78, died November 13, 2019.
Born in Kenmore, he had lived in Stow since 1973 and retired from GM in 1998 after 30 years service. Dick was a U.S. Army veteran, enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles, and was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sandy; son Rick (Sandy) Bent; daughter Nancy Vaughn; grandchildren Hillary, Scott, Brooke, Zach and Brandon; sisters Marilyn Steele and Nancy DelBove; brother Jim (Joan) Bent; many nieces and nephews, and pets Lucy and Willie.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Sunday from 4:30 to 7 PM, where service will be held Monday 11 AM. Burial with military honors Tuesday 10 AM at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
