Obituary of Robert J. Grable

STOW - Robert J. Grable, 68, died December 28, 2017.

Bob was born in Akron and a longtime resident of Hudson and Stow. He actively served in the U.S. Air Force from 1968 - 1972 during the Vietnam war.

He retired from Pneumatic Scale, in Akron, Ohio after 40 years of employment.

He loved being with family and around his grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing, bowling and golfing.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Hazel and Paul Grable, baby Robert, and sister Karen Graham.

He is survived by his wife Anita Hartmann; sons Matthew (Tina) Grable, Anthony (Brooke) Grable; step-children Matthew (Janet) Hartmann, Leslie Hartmann (Jeff Karas) and Adam Hartmann (Melissa Jordan); grandchildren Jacob, Andrew, Taylor, Jeffrey, Isabelle and Cora; sisters Kim (Gary) Edwards, Kerene (Bill) Gold; brothers Dick (Carolyn) Grable and Thomas (Marlene) Grable; brother-in-law, Herbert Graham; sister-in-law Elissa Buonpane and brother-in-law James (Susan) Buonpane.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, 11 AM at Redmon Funeral Home, where friends may call from 9:30 AM until service time. Burial Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
