Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Robert John Koch, Sr .

STOW - Robert John Koch, Sr., was born on the 4th of July with his twin brother, Dick, the sons of Henry and Margaret Koch.

He graduated from Case Institute of Technology as a chemical engineer, after serving in the U.S. Army at Dugway Proving Grounds in Utah. He worked at Dow Corning and spent over 33 years at Goodyear in Engineered Products. He met his wife of 71 years, Mary Jane, at the Grand Canyon.

He was a wonderful husband and father, loved his family, and was very proud of them. A perfectionist by nature, he believed any job worth doing was to be done right. Mr. Koch was an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Stow.

He leaves his wife, Mary Jane; children, Margie Walters (Ken), Sr. Maria Crucis, Rob Koch (Lisa), David Koch (Theresa), Kathy Crookston (Matt), and Doug Koch (Melinda); grandchildren, Matt Walters, Sara Protentis (Nick), Andrew Koch (Jenna), Abby Koch, Annaleigh Koch, Jeremy Crookston, Rachel Crookston, Ben Koch, and Meghan Koch; great-grandchildren, Claire, Palmer, William, and Miles.

Our family wishes to extend grateful thanks to Summa Hospice.

Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, 44224, for visitation, on Sunday, April 14, 2024, from 6 to 8 PM. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 15, 2024, at 11 AM, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3179 Kent Road, Stow 44224. Burial Silver Springs Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church.
