Robert Quentin Wyatt

d. November 12, 2014

Robert Q. Wyatt passed away on Wed, Nov 12, 2014 at 96 years old.

He was born July 18, 1918 in Akron, OH. His parents were Hattie and Azel Wyatt

from Parkersburg, W.VA. Beatrice Black and Elizabeth Natzke were his sisters,

also preceding him in death.

He was married to his high school. sweetheart, Gail Mealey

for 47 years until her passing in 1987. He leaves behind his two daughters,

Patricia Smeal and her husband Martin of Streetsboro, as well as Beverly Hinkle and her

husband Robert of Danville, VA.. Also surviving are three grandsons, David Hostetler of

Medford, Oregon, Jeffrey Hinkle and his wife Tara and their children Katelyn

and Lydia, and also Mark Hinkle and his wife Elena and their children

Riley and Avery.

Bob retired from the B.F. Goodrich Company in Akron after almost 40 years

as a Maintenance Foreman.

Bob's favorite place on earth was a special lake in Canada where he fished with

friends and family for 60 years. Between visits he also enjoyed watching for

deer at sunset in Peninsula, OH. He also loved to play cards, hunt, garden,

repair cars and RV across the country. He was proud to be

an Amateur (Ham) radio operator (W8QYP) for 60 years and was a charter

member of the Cuyahoga Falls club. Music, however, was

his greatest joy. Bob learned his banjo skills as a teenager from his mentor,

Arnold Harvey. Bob's musical group of friends played together frequently and

brought joy to everyone who came to listen.

Bob was always cheerful and positive and never complained. He was a great

Dad. We are confident he would like to acknowledge his special friends

Sherrie Chronister and Bob Waltz.

The family would like to thank the staff at Gardens of Western Reserve in

Streetsboro and Crossroads Hospice for their tender care.
