CUYAHOGA FALLS - Robert Perry “Bob” Sawders, 85, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2026, at home.

Bob was born on August 28, 1941, in Akron, Ohio. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Rickenbacker Air Force Base. Following his military service, he made his home in Stow, Ohio, where he lived since 1962 and became a familiar and valued member of the community.

Bob was a faithful member of Vineyard Community Church in Cuyahoga Falls. He was involved in ministry and served in Russia. He was known for his dedication to family, his quiet strength, and his willingness to help others. His love for his family was evident in every stage of his life, and he took great pride in watching his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren grow. Those who knew Bob will remember him for his loyalty, humility, and the lasting example he set through a life of service, faith, and commitment to the people he loved.

Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Ann Sawders, with whom he shared 60 years of love and devotion.

He is survived by his daughter, Deborah (Kevin) Robenstine; his son, Ken (Terri) Sawders; his grandchildren, Tim (JoAnna) Sawders and René (Michael) Porchowsky; and his great-grandchildren, Roan and Caden Sawders, and David, Zion, and River Porchowsky. He also leaves behind many extended family members, friends, neighbors, and all whose lives were touched by his kindness and steady presence.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

Funeral service will be held 7 PM, Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, OH 44224. Friends may call 4PM to service time Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to either Community Vineyard Church, 2543 State Road, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223 or the Veterans Administration.
