CUYAHOGA FALLS - Rose Marie (Lebo) Holt, 88, passed away September 22, 2026.

A daughter of the late Michael and Mary Boysko, she was born July 18, 1938, in Cleveland, Ohio. Rose Marie was one of six children born into a devout Catholic family. If you knew her or were blessed to call her family, you probably heard many stories of growing up in Parma Heights, having live chickens, and her job of retrieving fresh eggs for her mother to cook. She had a favorite family pet as a child, their German Shepherd dog named “Prince” whom she often said was almost a “Guard Dog” to her father’s bedroom! Rose Marie found living on almost a farm-like setting and having so many siblings, was more like having a group of your best friends to grow up with. Rose Marie was given the nickname, “Rushka” by her father, which “stuck” even into her last days.

After graduating high school, Rose Marie went on to marry her first husband of 27+ years, Andrew C. Lebo, with whom she raised five of their own children. Though always working numerous jobs, her primary job was being a devoted wife and an amazing mother to now her own large family. Rose enjoyed being a cashier at the old Kmart and Dairy Mart stores in Stow for many years. She found her love of children grew even more when she became an aide for and provided transportation for Special Needs children within Kent City Schools. She also enjoyed being a full-time Nanny for a beautiful family in Hudson. Later on, Rose unexpectedly became swept off her feet by the true love of her life, Mr Henry G. Holt. Rose and Henry’s marriage was centered around their deep Catholic faith. Though it was cut far too short due to cancer, Rose’s love for Henry remained decades after his passing. Now, we joyfully say they are together again!... and Henry is probably calling Rose, “My RoseBud”, as he often did.

Rose Marie was a lifelong, devout Catholic often times finding complete solace and peace in praying the Rosary and praying to Our Blessed Mother. She was a member of St Joseph Parish Church in Cuyahoga Falls. Rose Marie had many hobbies such as crocheting baby blankets for her grandchildren, playing her good luck at BINGO, playing piano, and baking, just to name a few. If you hadn’t ever tasted one of her German Heritage Cabbage Rolls, Kolachki pastry cookies, or Poppyseed Rolls, all from old family recipes at Christmastime, you have missed out! Truly NONE will ever compare to hers! Rose was also known to be quite “comically colorful” sometimes, often getting the “sillies” to where she could not stop laughing. When Rose could not stop laughing, it was instantly contagious and you found yourself uncontrollably laughing until it nearly hurt. Laughter and attempting to embarrass her adult children (all in good fun), was something Rose absolutely ENJOYED! Rose loved laughter, but not as much as she loved her family. Her words, “My family is EVERYTHING to me.” will simply never leave each and every one of our hearts.

In addition to her parents, Rose Marie is preceded in death by the love of her life, Mr. Henry G. Holt; brothers Michael, Joseph, Francis, sister Barbara Ann, and best friend of over 40 years Nancy Metcalfe. She is survived by her five children Kevin Lebo, Daniel (Beckey) Lebo, Kathy (Jim) Karpen, Douglas (Kandi) Lebo, and Julie (Carl) Lee; grandchildren Dan (Kristen), Michelle (Brandon), Jessica (Dan), Tim (Coco), Hannah (John), David (Brittany), Kaylyne (Alex), Kassie (Mark), Kristen (Dominic); great grandchildren Cami, Maclyn, Emmy, Wesley, Grayson, Everett, Beau, Elijah, Jude, Aspen, Ace, Kane, Liam, Serenity, Raven, and Dominic. Rose Marie is also survived by her brother Larry Boysko, her special friends Regina and Susan, and many nieces and nephews, all whom will miss her beyond words. The family would like to thank Hospice nurses Tammy, Jill, and Melanie.; Hospice Chaplains Terry and Emmett, Nurse Ashley and all Staff with Bath Creek Estates for their beyond exceptional care and dedication to not only Rose Marie, but towards our family…it has meant far more than you know.
