Obituary of Rosemary Ann Eddy

Rosemary Ann Eddy died April 15, 2013.

Born in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada on March 7, 1934. Her much-beloved parents were Burton and Arnetta Day. Her brother was David Day (wife Lillian). She is survived by her husband of 60 years Alfred T; daughters Patti (Richard) Perrine and Jenny (Philip) Douglas; son Alfred Linton Eddy; grandsons Mark and Timothy Douglas; and "Miss Kitty" (beloved black cat).

Rosemary was an active Bath resident for over 45 years and was on the committee for Bath Community Day and other projects. She lived to bake and would make elaborate cookie trays for everyone and anyone! She worked for Frank Gaffney at Bath Country Market and also at his law office. She also worked at Acme Supermarket in Montrose as as a pharmacy tech. She was an accomplished actress and loved to perform at Bath Players
(now Western Reserve Players) and Weathervane Playhouse. She won many acting awards for such plays as "Laura," "Anastasia," "All The Way Home" and "Blythe Spirit." Rosemary was possessed of a beautiful soprano voice and could belt a mean rendition of "Summertime" and "Danny Boy."

Rosemary became a U.S. citizen in 1965 but still dearly missed her Saint John. She told many colorful stories about her childhood (The actor Walter Pidgeon was a neighbor and brought her a food basket when she had the measles!)

Pastor Mike Shaub will conduct service Friday 6p.m. at Redmon Funeral Home, where friends may call from 4 p.m. until service time. Private interment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Rosemary's video tribute may be viewed here.
